Why this building
Quad has made records in Times Square since the early 1980s.
The hallway is lined with plaques. The credit list the studio publishes runs from Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar to Cardi B, J. Cole and Migos, and Pop Smoke cut part of Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon in this building.
Studio Q1 is 1,200 square feet built around a 64 channel Neve Genesys Black, with a live room that handles full tracking sessions. Q4 sits on the 12th floor with a view over Times Square. On September 20 those rooms are open to you.
How the day runs
Nobody performs at Pass The Aux. Your song plays.
You pull up, you plug in, and your record goes on over the system in a world class room for a floor full of artists and industry people. The record does the work.
2 to 3 PM
Play your music in any studio
Walk the floor, plug in, and your song goes on.
3 to 5 PM
King of the Aux
Artists go song for song. One leaves with the crown.
6 to 8 PM
Industry hours
Play your record for working industry people and get real feedback. VIP wristband required.
