Alex Warren Drops "RESCUER" and Sets August 28 Release Date for Sophomore Album WILDCHILD

Alex Warren has released a new single, "RESCUER," along with an official music video directed by Andrew Donoho. The track is out now across streaming platforms.

The video premiered at an iHeart x TikTok livestream event in Los Angeles on August 6, 2026. Warren's sophomore album, WILDCHILD, follows on August 28 via Atlantic Records and is available for pre-save now.

Warren wrote "RESCUER" as a tribute to his wife, Kouvr Annon. In his own words: "When I was at my absolute lowest, my now-wife Kouvr saved me. Nothing I have or have done is possible without her. This song is written to her as a way of expressing that."

WILDCHILD takes its name from a nickname Warren's late father gave him, one he also has tattooed on his body. Warren describes the album's themes and his process directly: "Growing up, my dad used to call me Wildchild so it's always had a special meaning and I even have it tattooed on me. Creating this album was really healing, therapeutic and a way for me to continue finding out more about myself. This album really shows where I am in my life today and compared to my first album which feels like a man who is broken, this one is a man who's trying to heal. It's been really nice to be able to confront those feelings and also be able to share them with the world to give everyone a transparent view into my life."

The release follows previous singles "Passenger," "Fine Place To Die," and "Fever Dream." Warren's debut album YOU'LL BE ALRIGHT, KID was released in 2025 on Atlantic Records. According to the press release, the album has accumulated over 9 billion streams and the project earned him 5 iHeart Radio Awards, a 2025 MTV VMA for Best New Artist, and a Billboard Best New Artist of 2025 designation. He is currently on his Finding Family On The Road Tour.

For independent artists, Warren's move to anchor a major album rollout around a deeply personal tribute song is worth noting.
