Audrey Hobert Drops Self-Directed 'Silver Jubilee' Video to Kick Off Who's the Clown? Anniversary

Audrey Hobert released a music video for "Silver Jubilee" on August 7, launching what she says will be a series of releases celebrating the one-year anniversary of her debut album Who's the Clown?. The video was self-directed by Hobert and features her siblings and cousins.

The album's anniversary date falls on August 15. Hobert has not specified what other releases are planned beyond the video, but the press release describes more to come in the days leading up to that date.

Who's the Clown? was produced with Ricky Gourmet. Hobert wrote all the songs, directed and edited the videos, and handles the full creative output of her project herself. That kind of end-to-end ownership is worth noting for independent artists: it gives her full control over how her work looks and sounds at every stage.

On the chart side, according to the press release, Hobert's single "Sue Me" recently entered the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time. Billboard is quoted in the release calling it the "definitive summer '26 anthem." The release also states that her overall catalog streams have nearly quadrupled since May and that "Sue Me" has grown sixfold in the same period, though those figures come from the press release and are not independently verified.

For live dates, Hobert has a full slate running through October. Coming up this month: Outside Lands in San Francisco on August 8, then Portland and Seattle before a run of European festival dates including Pukkelpop, All Points East, Electric Picnic, and Superbloom. This fall she plays three nights at Brooklyn Paramount in New York (September 29 through October 1, all sold out according to the release), the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on October 6, two nights at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago on October 8 and 9, the Fox Theater in Oakland on October 13, and two Austin City Limits appearances on October 4 and 11.

The full tour follows what the release describes as a sold-out Staircase to Stardom world tour and festival stops at Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Hinterland earlier this year.
