Baby Snakes & The Electric Co. have released their debut album Ouroboros as a single, album, and vinyl release on Spaceflight Records, out October 23, 2026. The project is led by Dallas producer and studio founder Jeff Saenz, who records and performs under the Baby Snakes name with a band of longtime collaborators. Alongside the album, the group has shared a new single, 'Valleys,' and announced two live dates in Texas for November.

Ouroboros runs 12 tracks, each written to represent one month of the calendar year. The album moves through four seasonal sections, winter through fall, tracing emotional recovery, love for family, mental health, and forward movement. Saenz wrote each song in roughly a day, then spent the next refining it, one song per month for a year. The result is an alternative rock record that pulls from his background in punk and his years producing other artists.

What Is On the Ouroboros Album and How Was It Made

The full tracklist is: 'Tornado Alley,' 'Dark Horse,' 'Heart & Spade,' 'Kintsugi,' 'Anytime it Rains,' 'Bedroom Floor,' 'Diamonds on the Chorus,' 'Lola James,' 'Heart Like a Crown,' 'Hold Fast,' 'Valleys,' and 'Ouroboros.'

Four singles preceded the full release: 'Dark Horse,' 'Kintsugi,' 'Diamonds on the Chorus,' and now 'Valleys.' Each single has an accompanying visual, with official music videos for 'Kintsugi' and 'Diamonds on the Chorus' and a visualizer for 'Dark Horse.' The 'Valleys' music video focuses on the band's relationships with one another. Saenz notes that drummer Matt Rainwater and he have been close friends for more than 40 years, playing in their first band together at age 12.

Saenz shared a specific origin story for 'Valleys.' After building a backyard pool, his daughter asked him what a ditch was. He told her it was like a valley, now filled with water where they could swim. That exchange shaped the song's emotional core, and his daughter receives a writing credit on the track. 'This song is about the depth of love we have for those closest to us in our lives, and the valleys, rivers, and roads we carve within ourselves to hold that love and move through one another,' Saenz said.

The record is rooted in a specific period of Saenz's life. On June 1, 2021, he was struck by nearly 8,000 volts of electricity in his own yard. He survived but lost his left hand and right arm during recovery. Making Ouroboros was, according to the release, his direct response to that experience. 'It's the overarching theme of finding the strength within yourself to celebrate what you love about yourself,' Saenz said, 'and to just keep going forward and not let anything stop you from being the exact you that you want to be.'

Before forming Baby Snakes & The Electric Co., Saenz built Modern Electric Sound Recorders in Dallas, a studio that became a creative hub for the North Texas scene. Artists including Leon Bridges, Paul Cauthen, Quaker City Night Hawks, and the Texas Gentlemen have worked there. Saenz also apprenticed under producer Dave Cobb, known for his work with artists like Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, and Sturgill Simpson. Ouroboros marks the first time Saenz has stepped to the front as the primary artist on a full-length record.

When Baby Snakes Play Live in Austin and Dallas in November 2026

Baby Snakes & The Electric Co. have two confirmed live dates in Texas this November:, November 19, In-store performance at Waterloo Records, Austin, TX, November 21, Deep Ellum Block Party, Dallas, TX

Waterloo Records is one of the most recognized independent record stores in the country and a regular stop for touring and regional artists. Deep Ellum is the historic music and arts district in Dallas where much of the city's independent scene is centered. Both shows land in the band's home territory.

For updates on additional dates, the band is active on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

Ouroboros Vinyl Details and Where to Stream

Ouroboros is available now on streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. Spaceflight Records is also issuing a physical edition: a gatefold double-12-inch pressed on colored vinyl. Pre-orders are open now.

Each of the four lead singles will also get individual 7-inch pressings, each with a previously unreleased cover on the B-side. The covers pay tribute to artists Saenz has cited as influences: Siouxsie and the Banshees ('The Killing Jar'), Little Feat ('Willin'), The Church ('Under the Milky Way'), and Bruce Springsteen ('Tougher Than the Rest'). These B-sides will be exclusive to the physical format.

For independent artists, the campaign behind Ouroboros is worth studying. Saenz rolled out four singles with individual visuals across several months before dropping the full album, gave each 7-inch a unique B-side to reward collectors, and anchored the rollout with regional live dates in markets where the band already has a foundation. It is a patient, layered release strategy that does not require a major label to execute.
