# DaBaby 'Pop Dat Thang' Certified Platinum, Catalog Gets 40 RIAA Wins
DaBaby's single "Pop Dat Thang" has been certified Platinum by the RIAA, according to an announcement from Interscope dated August 28, 2026. The song is a track from his latest studio album Be More Grateful and is the centerpiece of a broader wave of 40 new or upgraded RIAA certifications across his catalog.
The certification covers a single unit of one million in sales and streaming equivalents. According to the release, "Pop Dat Thang" spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on Urban Radio, reached the Top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100, and climbed to No. 2 on both Billboard's Hot Rap Songs and Rap Airplay charts. Those chart positions come from Interscope's release and have not been independently verified here.
Who Is on the 'Pop Dat Thang' Remix
The original version of "Pop Dat Thang" generated enough momentum to produce two separate reworks. The first remix features GloRilla, Yung Miami, and an artist credited as YKNIECE. GloRilla has been one of the most consistent names in rap since her breakout with "F.N.F. (Let Him Cook)" in 2022 and her subsequent deal with Yo Gotti's CMG label. Yung Miami is one half of the duo City Girls, signed to Quality Control Music. YKNIECE is the less established name on the remix and is the act to watch if you are looking for a rising artist to follow from this campaign.
A second rework came from producer and DJ David Guetta, who according to the release premiered his version during his Coachella set. Guetta is a French producer with decades of crossover credits spanning electronic and hip-hop. His involvement signals that the label was actively pushing the record into international and festival-circuit markets.

What Independent Artists Can Take from This Campaign
The structure here is worth studying. A single release supported by two remixes at different audience targets, one aimed at rap fans through GloRilla and Yung Miami, one aimed at the festival and electronic market through David Guetta, extended the record's life across multiple radio formats and charts. The Coachella premiere of the Guetta version was a placement move that created a news moment outside of traditional rap press. You do not need a major label to think in terms of remix strategy and targeted placements. If you are an independent artist releasing music, the [submit your music page](/submit) is a good place to start getting your own campaigns in front of the right ears.
