Country trio Deltona released their new single "Point Of You" on August 7, 2026, via The Core Records. The track is produced by Jason Massey, who has also worked with Cole Swindell and Kelsea Ballerini, and co-written by Deltona, Massey, and Heath Warren.
The band describes the song as a high-energy breakup anthem built around the feeling of reclaiming independence. "'Point Of You' is our anthem for anyone who's had a toxic ex," the group said in a statement. "We love the high energy and confidence of finally saying, 'I don't need you in my life anymore.' It's about embracing that freedom. It's a no-regrets, middle-finger-in-the-air kind of song. We can't wait for y'all to hear it!"
The chorus puts the perspective plainly: "I've spent too damn long on / Tryna keep you from getting long gone… For the first time in years / Gotta crystal-clear view / It's just me sitting here / Thinking what's the damn point of you."
"Point Of You" follows their previous single "The Country," a Fourth of July weekend release that, according to the press release, landed on Spotify's All New Country, Apple Music's New in Country, and Amazon Music's Breakthrough Country playlists.
The release comes alongside a wave of business moves for the band. Deltona recently signed a publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing Nashville in partnership with The Core Entertainment, management with The Core Entertainment, and booking representation with WME. For independent artists watching from the outside, that bundle of signings landing simultaneously is worth noting as a sign of how momentum can compound when the right pieces align.
Deltona is a three-piece: vocalist Ned Abernathy from Georgia, guitarist Caleb Miller from Ohio, and drummer Chris Deaton from Tennessee. According to the band's bio, the three met at a writers' round at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe.
