Jackboy is gearing up for a big summer. The Pompano Beach rapper dropped his new single "Heartbroken" today and announced that his forthcoming album I Can't Do No Wrong arrives August 13 via his imprint 1804 Records.
"Heartbroken" is an emotional trap ballad built on dramatic piano chords and wailing guitars. Jackboy uses the track to process what it feels like to pour everything into building something and still feel like the universe is working against you. The video was shot in Mykonos, and the contrast between the lavish setting and the loneliness on display is the whole point.
What to Expect from I Can't Do No Wrong
The 17-track LP pulls from a stretch of real personal change. Jackboy has spoken publicly about converting to Islam, stepping into fatherhood, and taking his role as a community leader and label CEO seriously. Recent singles "Hussle Like Nipsey" and "Derek Fisher" with fellow Floridian C Glizzy are already on the project, and both tracks signal an artist who is writing from a more grounded and intentional place than before.
The album title itself carries weight. I Can't Do No Wrong is not a boast so much as a statement of alignment. He is describing someone who has done the internal work and is moving accordingly.
Jackboy's Numbers Back Up the Momentum
For anyone doing the math, Jackboy is not an underground figure at this point. He has accumulated over 1.5 billion global streams across platforms, holds a RIAA Gold certification for "Pressure," and sits at 700 million YouTube views and 290 million Spotify streams. His 1804 Records label, named after the year Haiti declared independence, is built around developing artists who share his work ethic and drive.
Those numbers matter because they tell you this album has a real audience waiting for it. He is not trying to break in. He is consolidating.
For independent artists and label founders watching this release, the 1804 Records model is worth studying. Jackboy built his streaming footprint without the infrastructure most major label artists take for granted, and he has done it while maintaining a sound that is unmistakably his own. Watch for more I Can't Do No Wrong rollout as August 13 approaches. If the singles so far are any indication, this project is coming in with intention.
