Jacquees Drops 'Mood 2' on Cash Money Records, Nearly a Decade After the Original Mixtape

Jacquees released Mood 2 on July 31, 2026 via Cash Money Records. The 22-track album arrives roughly ten years after his 2016 mixtape Mood, which he has credited with shaping the sound and identity he built his career on.

"10 years later… what started as a mixtape is finally an album. Some music never leaves you, it just waits for the right time. Thank y'all for keeping MOOD alive," Jacquees said in a statement.

The album covers relationship themes across its full run: attraction, trust, heartbreak, healing, and loyalty. Standout tracks include "Proud Of You" featuring BLXST, "Accuse Me," "Time Will Tell," and "Better Hands." The project also includes interpolations of Jagged Edge's "He Can't Love U" on "He Kant" and Faith Evans' "Soon As I Get Home" on "Spend The Night."

Several singles dropped ahead of the album. "He Kant" was produced by Polow Da Don. "Physical" features Tink, "Let You Go" features K Camp, and "Lick Back" brings in Cash Money veteran Juvenile.

The full guest list spans BLXST, Kodak Black, NOBY, Rob49, Ty Dolla $ign, K Camp, Tink, Juvenile, Tyler Watts, and DC Young Fly.

The release has a full tracklist of 22 songs, starting with "You Decide (Intro)" and closing on "Guy Like This."

Following the album, Jacquees heads out on the "Us Over Dem Tour" with K Camp. According to the release, Jacquees holds nine Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum certifications across his catalog, with double-platinum credits on "B.E.D." and "You." His 2024 project Baby Making debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes R&B/Soul Albums Chart, per the release.

For independent artists, this rollout is worth studying.
