Journey Final Frontier Tour Adds 40 Dates Across North America in 2026
Journey's farewell tour expands to nearly 70 shows, running through November 2026.

Journey just more than doubled their Final Frontier farewell tour. The band announced 40 additional North American dates on top of the 28 already on the books, bringing the total run close to 70 shows. The expanded leg kicks off September 12 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and closes November 28 at Chase Center in San Francisco, the band's hometown.
Artist presale tickets went live May 13 using the code FRONTIER. General on-sale opened May 15. The spring leg of the tour is already underway, with the band resuming shows in Tampa on May 15.
What Journey's Final Frontier Expansion Means for the Live Music Market
A farewell tour that keeps growing is not unusual in this industry, but the scale here is worth paying attention to. Journey's Final Frontier tour is now one of the larger arena runs of 2026, touching markets from Laredo, Texas to Winnipeg, Manitoba. That kind of footprint takes months of venue holds, routing logistics, and crew coordination to execute.
For independent artists and their teams, a run this size illustrates how much the live business has shifted. Arena touring is where the money is, and legacy acts with catalogues like Journey's can fill 18,000-seat rooms in mid-sized markets that younger artists are still working toward. It is a good reminder to study how routing and market selection work, not just the top-10 cities.
There has been some internal tension worth noting. Singer Arnel Pineda, who joined the band in 2007, said publicly that he was not consulted before the farewell tour was booked. Co-founder and lead guitarist Neal Schon pushed back on reports about Pineda being blocked from leaving the group. The band appears to have moved past it and is actively on the road.
Regardless of the behind-the-scenes friction, the booking decision to expand a farewell tour mid-run reflects strong ticket demand. Promoters and agents do not add 40 dates to a run that is not selling. That is the clearest signal the market can send.

Full Tour Still Running Through Late 2026
The fall leg hits major markets including Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Toronto, Dallas, Houston, Denver, and Las Vegas before closing out in San Francisco. The full date list is available on Journey's official site and ticketing platforms.
For independent artists, the takeaway is simple: live music remains the most reliable revenue stream in the business, and building toward that arena level starts with understanding how acts at this scale operate. Study the routing. Study the markets. Know where the demand is before you book.
