KATSEYE released the music video for their new single "Animal" on July 24, and they brought some serious Hollywood weight along for the ride. Demi Moore appears in the visual as a quietly commanding presence who steps in when the group can't seem to get it together for a room full of disapproving suits.

The video plays with a sharp concept: KATSEYE performs choreography behind one-way glass while being observed and judged by a panel of executives. The twist is that those executives are played by the members themselves, dressed in cropped wigs and ties to mirror the kind of industry gatekeepers they've likely dealt with on the way up.

When the group tears apart a dressing room trying to find the right look to win approval, Moore cuts through the chaos with a few calm words and one decisive line: "Alright, let's get wild." The girls come back out in silver and give everything they have. Whether it's enough is left open.

KATSEYE's Wild EP and What's Coming in August

"Animal" is the second single from KATSEYE's upcoming EP Wild, due August 14. Their lead single "Pinky Up" debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April, giving the group one of their strongest chart moments to date. The EP rollout is moving fast and with intention.

Beyond the music, the group has a lot in motion. They performed at Coachella and Governors Ball this year, a Wild Hearts concert film drops in August featuring fan footage and behind-the-scenes access, and a full tour kicks off in September. This is a group building toward something, not just releasing singles into the void.

The video also arrives while the group continues to address questions about member Manon's hiatus, which began in February. The group has been straightforward about it: Manon stepped back to focus on her well-being, and the love between members is intact. "People just have no idea what goes on," member Lara told Vanity Fair. Sofia added that the situation had nothing to do with race, directly addressing rumors that had been circulating online.

Five members appear in the "Animal" video: Lara, Megan, Daniela, Yoonchae, and Sophia.

Why This Moment Matters for Independent Artists

KATSEYE's "Animal" video is doing something a lot of groups talk about but rarely pull off cleanly: using the visual to make a real statement about industry power dynamics without losing the pop energy that makes the song work. The concept is clear, the casting is deliberate, and Demi Moore's cameo earns its place rather than feeling like a stunt.

For creators and artists watching this rollout, the pacing is worth studying. A strong chart debut on the lead single, a conceptually tight follow-up visual, a film, and a tour all within a few months. That kind of sequenced momentum is hard to manufacture but easy to recognize when it's working.
