Latin Mafia and Fred again.. wrapped their collaborative project 9 months & 50 hours with a sold-out show at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City on July 30, 2026. According to the press release, tickets sold out in less than an hour.

The project started months before the show. In December 2025, the duo released under the fabric, a 35-minute short film shot in Mexico City beneath a textile installation by Dutch visual artist Boris Acket. The film documented their first creative session together.

From there, Latin Mafia and Fred again.. livestreamed 72 hours of studio work from LagoAlgo, making a mixtape titled making a mixtape with latin mafia and staying here until we finish it in real time. According to the release, the stream generated more than 7.9 million views. It was during that stream that the pair announced the Palacio de los Deportes date.

By the time fans bought tickets, they had already watched the songs come to life. The July 30 concert was the first time those tracks were performed live.

No release date or streaming platform information for 9 months & 50 hours was included in the release.

Why this matters for independent artists: Latin Mafia and Fred again.. built a sold-out arena show off community investment, not a traditional album rollout. They gave the audience access to the process, announced the concert mid-stream, and sold out in under an hour before the music was even on platforms. The audience was already bought in. That is a sequencing playbook any artist can study, regardless of budget.
