Major Lazer have officially released "Rotate," a new single featuring America Foster, Skillibeng, and BEAM. The track has been circulating as an unrecorded fan favorite at recent live sets before today's official drop on July 31, 2026.

"Rotate" is built around an interpolation of Puppah Nas-T and Denise Belfon's dancehall record "Work," a track that has been sampled and remixed over the years by artists including Masters at Work, DJ Sliink, Drake, and Megan Thee Stallion. The new song leans into that lineage while pulling in Skillibeng and BEAM, two Jamaican artists who have appeared on prior Major Lazer projects, alongside America Foster, who joined the group as its newest member when they released their 2025 mixtape GYALGEBRA.

A dance video drops alongside the single, starring the Lazer Gyals and choreographed by Sara Bivens and Calvit Hodge. Hodge's recent credits include work with Peso Pluma and Camila Cabello.

Diplo spoke directly to how the song came together: "Me and America made this the very first time we ever met up at my house in Jamaica and we knew then we had something special. It's taken on a life of its own since then. Every time I've played this song people go totally crazy whether we're in Paris, Mexico City or Seoul. I'm so stoked it's out today."

The release lands on the same day Major Lazer performs at Lollapalooza in Chicago, continuing a festival run that has already included Coachella, Governors Ball, and Bonnaroo. The current touring production features eight dancers, immersive visuals, and stage sets with creative direction from Mike Carson.

Earlier in 2026, the group performed at the Closing Ceremony of the Winter Olympics and contributed "No Place Like Home" with Nelly Furtado and Davido to the official FIFA World Cup anthems album. Davido joined them for the World Cup's Countdown Concert in Los Angeles.

For independent artists, the songwriting origin here is worth noting. One of the biggest acts in pop made this track the first time two of its members sat down together in a room. The process was that simple.
