Morgan Wallen Holds Country Airplay Top Two Spots Again With Three Active Singles

Morgan Wallen is doing something no artist in the 36-year history of Billboard's Country Airplay chart has ever done twice. "Don't We" spends a second week at No. 1, giving Wallen his 12th multiweek chart-topper and his 21st career leader overall, pulling 33.6 million audience impressions for the week of July 24-30, per Luminate.

His Ella Langley collaboration "I Can't Love You Anymore" holds at No. 2 with 32.5 million impressions, up 3%. That makes Wallen the first artist in Country Airplay history to control both the top two positions across multiple separate runs. He first pulled off the feat for four consecutive weeks in July 2024 with "I Had Some Help" (featuring Post Malone) and "Cowgirls" (with ERNEST). This is now his sixth total week holding both spots at once.

For context, only Luke Bryan and Luke Combs have ever done this at all. Bryan held the top two for two straight weeks in 2014. Combs managed it across two separate occasions nearly three years apart. Wallen has now lapped both of them.

What Morgan Wallen's Country Airplay Dominance Means for the Format

Beyond the top two, Wallen is also launching a third single into the same chart simultaneously. "Been by Now" debuts at No. 13 with 14.7 million impressions, tying his own record for the highest debut he has personally achieved. That matches his single "Love Somebody," which opened at the same position in November 2024 and reached No. 1 just 14 weeks later.

Debuting at No. 13 or higher is exceptionally rare in this format. Only seven songs in Country Airplay's history have done it. Garth Brooks holds the only No. 1 debut ever, and Taylor Swift's "I Knew It, I Knew You" is the only other top-10 debut, entering at No. 8 in June. That song sits at No. 9 on the same chart this week.

For artists and songwriters paying attention to what moves in country radio right now, Wallen's run is a case study in how catalog momentum and consistent radio presence stack. He is not cycling songs in and out. He is running three simultaneously and each one is performing.
