What's it about? What were you trying to say or capture?

"Resentment" is about recognizing how holding onto anger and bitterness can keep us trapped, while forgiveness and accountability create space for healing and growth. I wrote it from personal experience, reflecting on the moments when I had to let go of resentment to move forward. Austin Carlile and Dylan Jenet each brought their own perspective to the song, creating a conversation about pain, reflection, and ultimately choosing freedom over staying stuck. My goal was to make something emotionally honest that people can relate to, whether they're navigating recovery, relationships, or life in general.

"Resentment" came together through a collaboration with Austin Carlile and Dylan Jenet, with production and engineering by Rich Zahniser at Prime Royal Studios. The song evolved through multiple recording sessions, with each artist writing and recording their own lyrics to bring a unique perspective to the theme. We focused on creating something emotionally honest that blended hip-hop, rock, and melodic elements while allowing every voice to contribute to the overall message. The process was collaborative from start to finish, and the final record reflects the different experiences and perspectives each of us brought into the studio.

Is there a standout track or moment you want people to hear first?

The emotional turning point comes around 1:55, when Austin Carlile delivers a raw scream of "suicidal and denial." It's the emotional peak of the record and captures the weight of what resentment can do when it's left unresolved. From there, the song shifts toward accountability, healing, and choosing to let go. If listeners only hear one moment first, that's the one. It sets the tone for everything that follows.

How would you describe the sound of this release?

"Resentment" blends alternative hip-hop with post-hardcore and melodic rock influences. It moves from introspective verses into explosive, emotionally charged vocals while maintaining a cinematic, anthemic feel. Sonically, it sits alongside artists like Linkin Park, I Prevail, and Bring Me the Horizon, while staying rooted in authentic storytelling and modern hip-hop production.

What do you want listeners to feel or take away?

I hope listeners walk away believing that no matter how deep their pain, resentment doesn't have to define them. Letting go isn't about excusing what's happened. It's about refusing to let it control your future. If this song helps even one person feel understood or choose healing over holding on to anger, then it's done what we set out to do.

What's next after this drops?

After "Resentment" drops, I'll be performing the same night on the Main Stage at the Viper Room in Hollywood. From there, I'll continue releasing visual content around the record while performing throughout the summer, including the 502 Club in Covina, the Heroin Anonymous Convention in Seattle, and the Miss Universe Business Pageant in Las Vegas. My focus is on continuing to build the Multifaceted Monster brand through meaningful collaborations, live performances, and music that connects with people on a deeper level.
