N3WYRKLA Drops 'Crime' Video Alongside Epic Records Signing

New Jersey singer-songwriter N3WYRKLA has released the music video for her new single "Crime," a production from Hitmaka, timed to her signing with Epic Records. Both the song and video are available now.

"Crime" is an R&B ballad built around a simple, direct question: "Baby is it a crime to want you just loving me forever?" The track leans on N3WYRKLA's vocals to carry the weight of a breakup she hasn't fully moved on from. Hitmaka handles the production.

The video, directed visuals credited with a photo credit to Breyona Holt, follows N3WYRKLA through a series of late-night, low-lit scenes: leaning against her car on an empty street, lying awake in bed, staring out a bedroom window with a cigarette. A cool blue color palette runs throughout. The mood is intentionally spare.

According to the release, "Crime" is N3WYRKLA's first new music since 2025. It arrives after a stretch that included a feature on Brent Faiyaz's "Outside All Night" alongside A$AP Rocky, which the release says earned her her first RIAA Gold certification. She also contributed to Timbaland's single "Cherry." Her subsequent solo singles "Plastic Cup," "Add It Up," and "Bad Luck" pushed her past one million monthly Spotify listeners, according to the release.

The Epic Records deal gives N3WYRKLA major-label infrastructure behind her as she follows up that momentum. For independent artists watching her trajectory, the path is worth noting: she built credibility through feature placements with established names, collected press coverage from outlets including Okayplayer, Wonderland, and Notion, and crossed streaming thresholds before the big signing came. The deal followed the audience, not the other way around.
