Obskür, the Dublin house duo of Lorcan and Faustas, have released their new single "Speechless" on October 2, 2026, via Disorder / Capitol Records. The single marks a deliberate step toward a deeper, more after-hours sound compared to the pair's previous high-energy club output.

You can stream "Speechless" now on all major platforms wherever you listen.

What "Speechless" Sounds Like and How It Was Made

The track was not built in the usual way for Obskür. Rather than writing with a vocalist in person, the duo received the vocal stems remotely and immediately felt pulled toward a different direction.

"We were sent these vocals rather than the usual process of laying something down in person in the studio but when we heard them we were genuinely inspired straight away," the duo said in a statement. "We hopped in the studio straight away and start working with them. This has probably been one of the quickest projects we've made recently as it just came to us naturally so fast, with the vocals being a massive inspiration. They reminded us of something you'd hear on a deep house record and it made us want to make something a bit deeper and slower to our usual productions. Sometimes it's the simplest processes that work best. From this, Speechless was made."

The release does not name the vocalist or producer beyond Obskür themselves. No album or EP has been announced in connection with the single at this time.

"Speechless" follows recent releases "Look Into My Eyes" and "Serious," a collaboration with OMAR+. The pair's catalog goes back to their 2019 project launch, with breakout track "Bayside" establishing them in the Dublin club circuit. Their single "I've Arrived" with Tomike has, according to the press release, surpassed 35 million streams on Spotify. They have also remixed Barbara Tucker and Dom Dolla.

Obskür are signed to Disorder / Capitol Records, with the release distributed through Universal Music's Interscope Capitol operation based in Hollywood, California.

Who Obskür Are and Why the Catalog Matters to Independent Artists

Lorcan and Faustas met in Dublin more than ten years ago and formally launched Obskür in 2019. Their path through the Irish club circuit, including selling out the venue Index in Dublin four times consecutively according to the release, reflects a grassroots build before major label attention arrived. A residency at Amnesia in Ibiza and headline dates in Croatia, Malta, and the United States followed.

The monthly listener figure cited in the press release is 2.8 million, though that number is as of the release date and reflects Spotify's live data, which shifts constantly.

The fact that "Speechless" came together from an unsolicited vocal stem is a practical detail worth noting for independent producers. Obskür did not schedule a session, rent a studio in advance, or map out a concept. They responded to a file in their inbox and finished the record quickly because the inspiration was immediate. That workflow, responding fast to outside material rather than waiting for the ideal setup, is something any producer operating without a label budget can replicate right now.
