Pass The Aux Heads to Noname Studios on August 16

Something Dope For The People is bringing its Pass The Aux series to Noname Studios in Tarzana on Sunday, August 16, 2026. Doors open at 2 PM.

The venue carries real history. Noname Studios occupies the building formerly known as Can-Am Recorders, where Guns N' Roses recorded Appetite for Destruction and where Death Row Records produced The Chronic, Doggystyle, and All Eyez on Me. The facility is owned by Grammy-winning mix engineer MixedByAli, whose credits include Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and Nipsey Hussle. Dr. Dre's SSL 4000 G+ console is installed in the building.

The event runs three formats back to back. Open aux sessions give artists a chance to play their music for the room. Industry Hours pairs those plays with written feedback from industry guests. The King of the Aux Battle caps the night with a head-to-head competition format the series is known for.

For independent artists, that written feedback during Industry Hours is worth showing up for on its own. Getting a real response from someone in the room, in writing, is the kind of specific information that's hard to come by otherwise.
