Rob49 Releases "In The Club" Featuring Sexyy Red

Rob49 has released a new single and video, "In The Club" featuring Sexyy Red, the lead single off his upcoming fifth studio album Life of the Party, due this fall. The single arrived August 28, 2026, with a video directed under photo credit from Jean Toir and distributed through Universal Music Group, where contacts Kevin Young and Selam Belay are listed as label representatives.

The video is set in a club environment. Both artists appear alongside friends in scenes that include party crowds, cash, and high-energy dancing. The visual is straightforward about what the song is built to do: give people something to play at the end of summer when they are still trying to have a good time before the season closes out.

No producer has been named in the release. Streaming links were included in the original pitch but not reproduced here. Search "In The Club Rob49" on any major platform to find it.

Who Is Rob49 and What Is His Catalog Leading Into This Album

Rob49 is a rapper from New Orleans. He landed his first wide attention with "Vulture Island," which according to the press release earned a Gold certification. His track "Mama" is also certified Gold, per the same release. He was named a 2023 XXL Freshman, which is an annual list the magazine uses to spotlight emerging rappers. His collaborator credits listed in the release include Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, and Cardi B.

Life of the Party will be his fifth album. That is a meaningful number for an independent-adjacent artist who has built his catalog without being a household name outside of rap circles. Five albums in means Rob49 is not testing the market. He has a body of work, a fanbase, and a clear rollout strategy built around momentum rather than a single viral moment.

The release notes that he sold out the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans this past summer. The Smoothie King Center is a 17,000-plus capacity arena that also serves as the home court of the New Orleans Pelicans. Selling that out as a hometown show is a verifiable benchmark worth noting.

Sexyy Red, the featured artist on this single, is a St. Louis rapper who broke through nationally in 2023 with "SkeeYee" and built a following around an unfiltered, high-energy live and recorded presence. She has collaborated with Drake, Nicki Minaj, and SZA, among others, and has charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Her placement on a lead single is a deliberate move to reach her audience while also signaling the kind of energy Life of the Party is going for.

What "In The Club" Signals About the Life of the Party Rollout

Leading an album rollout with a feature is a specific choice. It tells you the project is designed around collaboration and energy rather than a solo statement. For Rob49, who built his name in New Orleans on a regional sound before expanding his features list, bringing Sexyy Red in as the very first voice heard on this album era says he is playing for reach from day one.

The fall 2026 release window for Life of the Party has not been given a specific date in this release. Watch Rob49's social channels for that announcement.

For independent artists watching this campaign, there are a few practical things worth pulling from it. Rob49 spent the summer playing live shows, including a major hometown arena date, and dropping music simultaneously. He did not pause touring to save the single for a release moment, and he did not pause releasing music because he was on the road. The rollout treats momentum as something you build by keeping active on multiple fronts at once, not something that appears when a label decides to turn it on.

The feature strategy also matters. Sexyy Red brings her own press cycle and her own audience to this single. That is a form of reach that does not cost ad spend. Independent artists can apply the same logic at any budget level by being intentional about whose audience overlaps with theirs when choosing collaborators.
