Ryan Castro Picks Up Five Premios Juventud 2026 Nominations

Colombian reggaeton and dancehall artist Ryan Castro has received five nominations at Premios Juventud 2026. The nominations span four categories:, Latin Afrobeat of the Year: "La Villa" and "Chévere (Premium Remix)", Best Urban Mix: "Tonto" (with J Balvin and DJ Snake), Best Urban Album: Hopi Sendé, Best Pop/Urban Song: "Menos El Cora"

Fan voting is open now through August 10.

According to the release, several of the nominated tracks have posted significant chart results. "Chévere (Premium Remix)" ranks at number one on Billboard's list of the 30 Best Latin Songs of 2026 So Far. "La Villa" reached number one on both Billboard's Latin Airplay and Latin Rhythm Airplay charts. "Tonto" hit number one on the Billboard Colombia Hot 100, and "Menos El Cora" was included on Rolling Stone's 50 Best Latin and Spanish-Language Songs of 2025.

Castro recently released a new single, "Que Te Vaya Bien," whose music video reached number eight on YouTube Music Colombia's trending chart, according to the release.

Just days after Premios Juventud, Castro launches the SENDE THE LAST DANCE U.S. tour, a 16-date run that kicks off September 6 in Atlantic City. The tour hits Boston, Washington D.C., and Orlando before wrapping October 10 in Las Vegas.

On the business side, the release notes Castro became the first Colombian artist to acquire equity in a professional sports team, the Paisas Basketball Club in Medellín, and that his Jumbo "Romantik Style" chocolate bar surpassed 1.2 million units sold. Rolling Stone U.S. named him a Future 25 honoree in 2024.
