The Street Fighter original motion picture soundtrack now has a full track list, and the lead single is already doing exactly what fans of the franchise hoped it would. Composers Leo Birenberg and Zach Robinson have released their cinematic reimagining of "Guile's Theme", the iconic Yoko Shimomura melody that has lived rent-free in the heads of arcade and console players for decades. The soundtrack drops the same day as the film: October 16, via Milan Records.

The new version pairs the original melody with full orchestral arrangements, electric guitar, and a scope that fits the big screen. It is not a nostalgia grab. Birenberg and Robinson grew up on this music, and that personal weight comes through in how seriously they approached the rework.

"To describe the music of Street Fighter as an influence would simply be an understatement," the pair said in a statement. "It is legitimately one of the core musical works that forged our musical identities. We listened to Yoko Shimomura's iconic 'Guile's Theme' probably more than Raiders of the Lost Ark."

What Is on the Street Fighter Soundtrack

The 39-track soundtrack covers the full score Birenberg and Robinson composed for the film, plus two original songs from industrial metal outfit HEALTH written specifically for the movie: "NEGATIVE EDGE" and "BRAINROT." The rest of the track list reads like a map through the film's story, with cues named for key characters and moments: "Chun-Li: Woman of Vengeance," "Ryu: Lost Champion," "Akuma's Arrival," "KEN VS RYU," and a closer called "The Fight Continues."

A few tracks have additional collaborators credited alongside Birenberg and Robinson. Jiaju Shen appears on the Chun-Li cue. Jemma Heigis, Myrone, and Jacob Umansky are credited on the new "Guile's Theme." Charlie Robbins appears on both "World Warriors" and the closing suite "The Final Awakening." The final track on the list is a "Dhalsim's Cave Rave Remix" of "Let Go Of What Binds You," which suggests the soundtrack is not taking itself too seriously either.

Who Is in the Street Fighter Film

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film is set in 1993 and follows Ryu and Ken as they are recruited by Chun-Li for the World Warrior Tournament. Andrew Koji plays Ryu, Noah Centineo plays Ken Masters, and Callina Liang plays Chun-Li. The cast also includes Jason Momoa as Blanka, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson as Balrog. Joe "Roman Reigns" Anoa'i rounds out the main roster as Akuma.

50 Cent has been publicly teasing additional music tied to the project, including references to potential collaborations with 2Pac and Eminem for the soundtrack. Whether those materialize before or after the October 16 release is still unclear, but the conversation around the film's music has been building steadily.

For producers, composers, and anyone building a career in scoring, this project is a useful case study. Birenberg and Robinson came up as fans of this exact music, and that deep fluency with the source material is visible in how they handled the adaptation. The Street Fighter soundtrack arrives October 16 alongside the theatrical release. Watch how the score lands with audiences in the opening week. If HEALTH's contributions hit the way the industrial production suggests they might, this could be one of the more interesting film score conversations of the fall.
