Tombochio has released STAR (Deluxe Edition), an expanded album featuring seven new tracks, with the focus single "ÚLTIMAMENTE" out now across streaming platforms. The project builds on STAR, his earlier 2026 album, and arrives via Guerrera PR and Marketing out of Los Angeles.
What Is On STAR (Deluxe Edition) by Tombochio
The seven new tracks added to the original STAR album are "Jeffrey Palms," "0 A 100," "ÚLTIMAMENTE," "TIROTEO," "O RIP," "MARTES," and "ALONE." The sound across the deluxe additions leans into relaxed corridos built on clean guitars and accordion, consistent with the norteño style Tombochio has been developing across his catalog. Subject matter ranges from personal growth to heartbreak to what the artist describes as a look toward future projects.
"ÚLTIMAMENTE" is the track the campaign is centering. It is a slow-build corrido anchored by a melancholic accordion and a lyric about accepting the end of a relationship. The key line, in the artist's own translation: "No es que te odie, pero tampoco que te ame" ("It's not that I hate you, but I don't love you either"). An official video is available now on YouTube.
Tombochio described the full album this way: "I'd describe this album as complete and very ambitious. All the tracks are great, we really pulled out all the stops."
On "ÚLTIMAMENTE" specifically, he said: "We are pinning all our hopes on this matter, and I feel like a lot of people will identify with this track."
On "MARTES," which he had intended as a duet: "It's very special because it's the only song I wanted to do as a duet. We sent it to several artists, but for some reason, a duet didn't work out. Still, I have a really good feeling about this track."
The original STAR album featured the single "INTOCABLE" with Peso Pluma. According to the release, "INTOCABLE" debuted in Spotify's Global Top 5 and the USA Top 10, and has accumulated 150 million streams to date. Those numbers come from the press release and have not been independently verified.
Who Is Tombochio and What Has He Released Before
Tombochio is a Música Mexicana artist based out of Los Angeles. His catalog sits at the intersection of traditional norteño structure and a modern production sensibility. Remezcla has described his work as a "unique blend of alternative sounds and traditional songwriting." Agushto Papa Podcast called him "the new promise of Regional Mexican music."
Beyond his own releases, Tombochio has writing credits on "Daño" by Peso Pluma and Tito Double P. According to the release, that song earned five Latin Billboard Award nominations, including Global 200 Latin Song, Hot Latin Song, and Regional Mexican. He also received BMI Award recognition for his work on "El Lokerón."
In 2026, he was nominated for a Premio Juventud Award in the New Generation: Música Mexicana category and was named Apple Music LATAM's UP NEXT artist, a program the platform uses to spotlight emerging talent it considers innovative and forward-looking.
The collaboration thread with Peso Pluma matters for context. Peso Pluma is one of the most-streamed artists in Latin music right now, and Tombochio has a verified creative relationship with him both as a featured artist on "INTOCABLE" and as a co-writer on "Daño." That kind of proximity to a major act is rare for an independent-leaning regional Mexican artist and speaks to where Tombochio sits in the ecosystem.
No label is named in the release. PR is handled by Guerrera Marketing and PR (Latin press contact: Loren Medina, loren@guerrerapr.com) with Mexico press handled by Malfi Dorantes at malfi@malfi.co.
No producer credits are included in the release for the deluxe tracks. No tour dates or live appearances are listed at this time.
STAR (Deluxe Edition) is available now on Spotify and across major streaming platforms. The official video for "ÚLTIMAMENTE" is live on YouTube.
What Independent Artists Can Take From This Campaign
The structure of this release is worth studying if you are an independent working in any regional or Latin-adjacent lane. Tombochio dropped a standard album, built traction around a flagship single with a major cosign, and then used a deluxe edition to re-enter the algorithm cycle with new material rather than starting from zero. The deluxe drop reactivates playlists, press, and social conversation without requiring an entirely new project rollout budget. If you have an album that performed and you have held back strong records, a deluxe expansion is a real strategy, not just a major-label move.
