London siblings Will Gao and Olivia Hardy, who record together as Wasia Project, released a new single called "Vogue" on August 10. The track is the latest preview of their debut full-length album, Nocturne, due September 18 via AWAL Recordings.
The duo describe the song in their own words: "'Vogue' is an ethereal, club inspired song, about surrendering to desire rather than resisting it. It's euphoric, sensual and immersive, exploring the anticipation of where a night might lead, the electricity of connection and the feeling of being completely consumed by someone."
Nocturne was produced by St. Francis Hotel, whose credits include work with Adele, Little Simz, and Arcade Fire. The album spans 12 tracks and is the first full-length project from a duo that formed in 2019 and draws on Chinese-British heritage and classical music training.
"Vogue" follows a run of singles including "Whale Call," which appeared in the Netflix series Heartstopper Forever (Gao stars in the show), as well as "Bleeding Gold" and "2515." The latter two received their first plays as Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
Alongside the single, Wasia Project confirmed a UK and European headline tour kicking off in November. The run includes a stop at London's Roundhouse on November 11, plus dates in Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, and Berlin. Tickets are on sale now.

For independent artists watching how Wasia Project built to this moment: the duo spent years releasing EPs, short films, and smaller headline runs before landing a debut album deal with AWAL. That patient, project-by-project approach is worth noting as you think about your own rollout strategy.
Nocturne is available to pre-save now. More at wasiaproject.com.
