Weezer Share New Single C.E.O. and Expand The Gathering Tour
Weezer's new video for 'C.E.O.' drops ahead of The Gold Album, out August 21.

Weezer are rolling out The Gold Album one piece at a time, and the latest drop is "C.E.O.," a new single that comes packaged with a video that leans hard into the band's own mythology.
The clip features Rob Riggle and Rob Huebel as label executives pressuring Rivers Cuomo to recreate the iconic "Undone (The Sweater Song)" video from 1994's Blue Album. When the band refuses to play along and walks off set, the execs don't skip a beat. They simply cast replacements: Tony Hawk, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Michael Peña, Giovanni Ribisi, Dax Flame, and Jay Renshaw step in as a surrogate Weezer to finish the job. The whole thing is directed by Obsession's Curry Barker, with Brendan Walter and Jasper Graham behind the actual camera.
The song itself opens with "Crankin' out another '90s jam, wish I could do something new." The video and the lyric are working the same angle: a band fully aware of how the nostalgia machine operates, playing inside it with enough self-awareness to make the joke land.
What to Know About The Gold Album and The Gathering Tour
"C.E.O." is the third song Weezer have shared from the album. Before it came "Shine Again" and "We Might as Well Be Strangers," a duet with Wednesday's Karly Hartzman. The Gold Album arrives August 21, their first proper studio record following 2021's OK Human and Van Weezer.
On the live side, Weezer: The Gathering tour just got significantly bigger. The North American run this fall, with the Shins and Silversun Pickups in support at most dates, now extends into 2027 with stops across Japan in February and a full UK and European run in May and June. The tour hits Los Angeles at Crypto.com Arena on October 24.
For a band that's been at this for three decades, the scale here is real. These are major arenas across three continents, with a new album behind them and a video that shows they still know how to make a moment. Whether you're tracking Weezer as a cultural institution or just paying attention to what's moving through arenas this fall, this campaign is worth following.
