What's the release, and when is it out?
My first produced song, 'Towards You,' is out now.
What's it about? What were you trying to say or capture?
This song is about realizing someone's true colors and finding your power again as a woman.
Take us behind the making of it.
I made this song during a vulnerable time in my life. I worked with a producer named Steve, great guy. Somehow it foreshadowed events that happened after the song was made, even though it was written about past events.
Is there a standout track or moment you want people to hear first?
The chorus is the most important moment to listen for.
How would you describe the sound of this release?
I would describe the sound as real and vulnerable, ambient, calm but dramatic. Some artists I would sit next to: Drake, Brent Faiyaz, Nobu Woods, Bryson Tiller, PND, and a lot more. Trust.
What do you want listeners to feel or take away?
I want listeners to feel my pain. I want them to relate and feel that nostalgia, not in a bad way necessarily, because I know that can be depressing, but maybe as a way of expressing growth and resilience.
What's next after this drops?
I have a ton of songs in the works. Might have an EP or album coming soon.
