The Austin City Limits Music Festival has dropped its full 2026 lineup, and the 25th anniversary edition is not playing around. Charli xcx, Lorde, Skrillex, Twenty One Pilots, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Kings of Leon, and The xx are set to headline across two weekends at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, October 2-4 and October 9-11.

Skrillex and Kings of Leon are splitting weekend-one and weekend-two headline slots respectively, while the rest of the top-billed acts span electronic, pop, and rock. The nine-stage festival has always been one of the more genre-diverse major fests in North America, and this lineup reinforces that.

Beyond the headliners, the supporting lineup covers serious ground. Turnstile, Bleachers, The War on Drugs, Young Miko, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Labrinth, Blood Orange, Lykke Li, Suki Waterhouse, Paris Paloma, SOFI TUKKER, The Chainsmokers, and Natasha Bedingfield are among the acts filling out the bill. Brandon Flowers of The Killers also appears as a solo act on weekend one.

What the 2026 ACL Festival Lineup Means for the Live Music Landscape

This announcement lands during a stretch where festival lineups have been under real scrutiny, rising ticket costs, shrinking middle-tier slots, and consolidation across the live sector have made it harder for developing artists to land major fest spots. ACL's 2026 bill still shows range, with names like Lola Young, Young Miko, and Paris Paloma representing artists who are building momentum without being household names yet.

On the streaming side, Disney+ and Hulu will carry select live performances and interviews from weekend one, which is a meaningful visibility play for any artist on that weekend's card. Festival streaming coverage has grown into a genuine discovery tool, and a set broadcast to millions changes the math on what a festival appearance can do for an artist's reach.

ACL is also launching a Spotify-integrated "Festival Persona" feature inside the app, it matches your listening history against the lineup and builds a custom playlist around it. For artists on the bill, that kind of algorithmic tie-in is direct exposure to fans who might not have found them otherwise.

Three-day general admission, GA+, VIP, and Platinum passes went on sale May 5 at 1 p.m. ET, with layaway options available. One-day tickets will go on sale at a later date. Kids eight and under get in free to GA areas with a ticketed adult.

Why Independent Artists Should Be Paying Attention

For indie artists watching from the outside, ACL's structure is worth studying. The festival's Bonus Tracks stage runs artist interviews, podcast recordings, and drag performances alongside music, a reminder that modern festivals are increasingly programming culture, not just concerts. That expands the kinds of conversations artists and labels should be having with fest buyers.

If you're building toward major festival stages, the path runs through smaller showcases, regional festivals, and consistent touring. Check out [our upcoming events](/events) to see where Something Dope For The People is showing up, or [submit your music](/submit) to get on our radar.

ACL 2026 is shaping up to be one of the bigger festival moments of the fall season. Keep an eye on the Disney+ and Hulu broadcast schedule when it drops later this summer, that's when the real visibility picture becomes clear.
