Billboard has officially announced that Latin Music Week 2026 will take place October 19 through 22 at Faena Miami Beach. Now in its 37th year, the event is the longest-running and most influential industry gathering in Latin music, drawing artists, executives, and creators from across the global market.
The format covers a full week of programming: artist conversations, business panels, the Billboard en Vivo live showcases, and open networking. It is one of the few events where the creative and business sides of Latin music are in the same room at the same time.
Why Independent Latin Artists Should Pay Attention
Latin Music Week is not just a space for major label acts. Past editions have featured panels on topics like the cumbia and tropical music explosion, with artists and entrepreneurs speaking directly to the business of building in this space. If you are working in Latin music or trying to break into it, this event is where deals get made and careers get visibility.
The 2025 edition brought together Anuel AA, Kali Uchis, Ozuna, Carin Leon, Daddy Yankee, and Ivy Queen, among many others. Previous years have included Shakira, Karol G, Peso Pluma, Young Miko, and Fuerza Regida. The lineups are a consistent reflection of who is moving the needle in Latin music at any given moment.
Billboard co-chief content officer Leila Cobo put it plainly at the 2025 press conference: Latin music is growing faster than any other genre globally. That is not hype. It is reflected in streaming numbers, touring revenue, and chart performance worldwide. For independent artists in this lane, that growth creates real opportunity.
Ticket and lineup details for 2026 have not been released yet, but pre-registration is open now through the Billboard Latin Music Week website.
What This Means for Artists and Labels
Events like this matter because the conversations that happen in those rooms shape how the industry invests over the next year. If you are an independent Latin artist or a small label working in reggaeton, cumbia, regional Mexican, or any other Latin format, being present, even as an attendee, puts you in proximity to the people making decisions.
Keep an eye on the full lineup announcement in the coming weeks. If you are building something in the Latin music space and want to stay connected to what is moving in the industry, [check out our upcoming events](/events) and [submit your music](/submit) to get on our radar.
