Live Nation Hits Record Q2 Revenue of $7.7 Billion in 2026
Live Nation reports record Q2 revenue despite World Cup stadium disruptions across North America.

Live Nation just dropped its Q2 2026 earnings, and the numbers are hard to argue with. The global concert promoter posted $7.7 billion in revenue for the quarter, up 9% from the same period last year, even with the 2026 FIFA World Cup locking out North American stadiums for large stretches of the summer.
The World Cup ran from June 11 through July 19, and host stadiums in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico were unavailable for concerts up to a month before each game and several weeks after. That squeeze pushed concert division adjusted operating income down 14% to $310 million for the quarter. Still, total concert revenue came in at $6.4 billion, fan count grew 10% to 49 million, and the company ended Q2 with record deferred revenue of $6.4 billion, up 25%, pointing to a heavy second half of the year loaded with stadium and amphitheater dates.
What Live Nation's Record Numbers Mean for the Live Music Industry
For anyone paying attention to the business of touring, the headline figure is this: more than 143 million tickets have sold through mid-July 2026, running over 14 million ahead of last year's pace. Mid-teens ticket sales growth across stadiums, arenas, and amphitheaters. That is not a soft market. That is a market with real demand.
Ticketmaster, despite an ongoing antitrust fight after a New York jury found Live Nation runs an unlawful monopoly in April, delivered $852 million in revenue for the quarter, up 15% year-over-year. The platform moved 90 million fee-bearing tickets, 39 million of them in international markets, with South America leading global growth. Secondary ticket volume in North America was flat, which the company says reflects active work to reduce bot and scalper activity.
CEO Michael Rapino made the case plainly in the earnings release: "In a world of endless screens and AI-generated everything, the one thing that can't be copied is being there." More artists are touring than at any point in the company's history, and fans are spending to show up.
Sponsorship revenue climbed 12% to $383 million, with 95% of 2026 commitments already booked. The company's venue arm, Venue Nation, is on pace to host close to 75 million fans this year, and Live Nation has more than 25 large venues in development expected to open by end of 2027, adding an estimated 15 million in incremental annual capacity.
For independent artists and their teams, these numbers carry a direct message. The live business is expanding, not contracting. New venues are coming online. International markets, especially South America, are pulling real volume. If you are building a touring career, the infrastructure to support it is growing.
Live Nation is projecting full-year fan attendance growth of 10% and double-digit AOI growth, with the bulk of year-over-year improvement landing in Q4. The second half of 2026 is set up to be the strongest stretch the company has ever seen.
