Primavera Sound has dropped the full lineup for its 2027 edition, set for June 3 through 5 at Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona. The festival is treating 16 acts as headliner-level this time around, all sharing the same font size on the poster. Leading that group are Doechii, Phoebe Bridgers, and Fontaines D.C., alongside Hayley Williams, FKA twigs, Turnstile, Massive Attack, the Chemical Brothers, Robyn, Caroline Polachek, and more.
Tickets go on sale October 8. If you are tracking any of these artists, that date is worth setting a reminder for.
Who Is Actually Headlining Primavera Sound 2027?
The top three names are drawing some discussion online, with audiences noting they feel a step below the festival's recent headliner tier. That said, Primavera has consistently built lineups that reward digging past the top of the poster, and 2027 is no different.
Beyond the headliners, the full bill includes Caroline Polachek, Pavement, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Tinashe, Julien Baker, Chvrches, Weyes Blood, MUNA, Isaiah Rashad, Kim Petras, Bleachers, ANOHNI, Shygirl, Bicep, Underworld, Metronomy, and Joy Orbison, among a long list of others. The festival closes with a back-to-back DJ set from Skrillex and Ninajirachi, and Sunday features an all-day takeover from Richie Hawtin, Four Tet, and Dixon.
Massive Attack are a notable name here. They were among the acts who had to cancel at last year's edition due to weather, so their prominent placement on this poster reads as a direct makeup booking. The Chemical Brothers and Robyn round out a headliner block that, despite the noise online, covers significant ground across rap, indie rock, electronic, and pop.
The Reunions and Returns Worth Watching
A few names lower on the bill carry weight beyond their font size. Math-rock group Don Caballero are reuniting for what will be their first live performance since 2009, with the band confirming on Instagram that this is the lineup behind the landmark 2000 album American Don. That alone is worth paying attention to if you follow guitar-driven experimental music.
Simian Mobile Disco, the blog-house project of James Ford and Jas Shaw, have been on hiatus since 2018 and are returning for the festival. Bradford Cox is also on the bill under his Atlas Sound alias, following his first Atlas Sound show in seven years at Philadelphia's Making Time earlier this year. These are not nostalgia bookings for the sake of it. They are genuine returns from artists who still carry real credibility.
The festival's press materials are also encouraging people to "connect the dots" on the poster itself, suggesting there may be additional announcements or pairings embedded in the lineup that haven't been spelled out directly.
It is also worth noting that Doechii and Caroline Polachek both appearing at headliner level suggests new music from both could be on the way before the festival. Labels do not book artists at that scale without product behind them. Watch both of those camps through late 2026 and into spring 2027.
What This Means for Artists and Fans Watching the Festival Circuit
Primavera Sound remains one of the few large festivals that books across genre lines in a way that feels intentional rather than algorithmic. This lineup pulls from rap, indie rock, post-punk, electronic, experimental, and pop simultaneously, without forcing them into a single narrative. That programming approach is worth studying for anyone working in music, booking, or creative direction.
For independent artists and creators tracking how the festival circuit moves, Primavera is still setting the standard for what a credible, taste-forward large-scale event looks like in 2027. The headliner debate online mostly reflects how high the bar has been set over recent years. A lineup that includes Doechii, Caroline Polachek, Robyn, Turnstile, and Shygirl in the same weekend is not a weak lineup. It is a different kind of strong one.
